The Role

We’re seeking a Student Admissions Specialist to identify, recruit, and enroll talented students who will excel at Sora Schools. In this role, you will combine your passion for education and recruitment to connect with students, families, and organizations to showcase how Sora Schools can serve many students needing a solution like ours for their middle and high school experience. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of online education, build relationships within the education community, and play a pivotal role in growing Sora’s enrollment.

Salary

This is a full time, 3 month contract role with a possibility to extend or convert to an employee, depending on organizational needs. The compensation for this position will be $5,450/mo.

Location

This is a fully remote role with some travel required.

What You’ll Do

  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to attract students to Sora Schools. Identify key regions, education fairs, and organizations where exceptional students seek flexible online learning options. Track and manage a pipeline of prospective students and families
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with students, their families, educational consultants, and organizations such as schools, education fairs, and programs. Act as a primary ambassador for Sora Schools within the education community
  • Outreach and Engagement: Attend education fairs, showcases, and events to connect with prospective students and families. Host virtual and in-person information sessions highlighting Sora Schools' flexible and customized approach to education for prospective students. Collaborate with marketing to create tailored messaging and materials to appeal to prospective families and organizations
  • Family Guidance and Enrollment: Serve as a trusted resource to families navigating the balance between academics and personal growth. Communicate Sora’s value proposition clearly and passionately, guiding families through the enrollment process
  • Partnership Development: Identify and pursue partnerships with schools, education agencies, and industry leaders to position Sora Schools as the premier online education provider for middle and high school students
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed on trends in education, such as college recruitment, student mobility, and education demands. Provide feedback to the Sora Schools team to continuously refine programs for students

  • Organized and Strategic: You can manage multiple relationships, events, and initiatives while considering the big picture
  • A Self-Starter: You’re proactive, driven, and capable of working independently in a remote environment
  • Additional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Previous experience in recruitment, admissions, or education.Strong knowledge of the education ecosystem, including organizations, trends, and pathways. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to travel to visit families and events as needed
